Senior Construction Manager

 

The Senior Construction Manager will have the following responsibilities during each phase of construction as described below:

​

Pre-construction/ Design/ Planning: Work with General Contractor and architectural/engineering design team to accomplish the following

  • Establish the master coordination schedule 

  • Coordinate Design Team activities to complete project design 

  • Review constructability with the design team using BIM software such as Revit/Navisworks.

  • Oversee authorization approvals processes and permits. 

 

Construction: Responsibilities as follows.

  • Manage Cost / Change Control Management of the general contractor owner contracted vendors

  • Schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis. 

  • Ensure project document control process is in place.

Contract Close Out: Responsibilities as follows.

  • Establish close out documentation requirements 

  • Ensure punch list, substantial completion and final completion process through onsite Construction management team. 

  • Negotiate, resolve and close out any outstanding change orders, quality issues or disputes. 

 

Supervision of 2 direct reports (SOC code & SOC Title: 17-2051.00: Civil Engineers)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related

Two years in Construction Management

​

Skill Requirements:

  • Building information modeling software: Revit and AutoCAD 

  • BIM Design collaboration software such as Navisworks

  • Project management software for schedule tracking, submittal review and change order documentation: Procore, MS Project and/or BIM 360

  • Working/operational knowledge in fiber and network technology construction systems

  • Data center and/or airport construction sector experience

​

Travel Requirements: Travel to local project locations in San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Jose, CA, Goodyear, AZ and Quincy, WA will be approximately 10-20% of workload throughout the year for project support and coverage

​
