Senior Project Manager

Milwaukee WI, Texas (various locations) • Full-time

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager with a strong background in the design and construction of data centers, critical infrastructure, or large-scale MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of project management experience, including 1–2 years specifically in data centers or large-scale mechanical/electrical plants.

This role requires a proactive leader with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of MEP engineering principles, and the ability to manage complex technical projects from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of design and construction projects, with a focus on data centers or similar critical infrastructure.

  • Interpret and work from technical documents including MEP construction specifications, system-level architectural drawings, and equipment requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop conceptual designs and maintain accurate project documentation.

  • Interface directly with clients to define project scope, requirements, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource needs, schedules, milestones, and quality control processes.

  • Oversee budget management, including tracking expenditures and preparing change orders as needed.

  • Identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

  • Use data to inform decision-making and clearly communicate project status and outcomes through written reports and verbal presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience (minimum 5 years).

  • 10+ years of project management experience, including at least 1–2 years in data center or large-scale MEP environments.

  • Strong knowledge of construction and MEP systems, including switchgear, UPS systems, transformers, and circuit breakers.

  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical construction documents across all MEP disciplines.

  • Proficient in project budgeting, change management, and scheduling tools.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training.

  • Experience working in fast-paced or global project environments.
